Actor Vijay Varma describes his visits to his hometown as essential to his well-being. He said returning every one to two months to Hyderabad, walking familiar streets and reconnecting with old neighbours, is akin to “life support.”
Varma explained that keeping close with his family and community helps him stay grounded despite his rising stardom. He said he often brings extended family members to stay with him when he is busy, ensuring their support network remains intact.
In his upcoming film Gustaakh Ishq, Varma plays a romantic lead a role shift from his usual intense characters. He noted that his grounding at home helps him choose roles more thoughtfully and stay true to his roots.
The statement highlights a growing trend among actors who emphasise mental health, personal balance and connection to home even while navigating demanding film careers.
