Nitish Kumar Acknowledges Mistakes in Leaving NDA, Pledges to Avoid Future Breaks

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has openly acknowledged the mistakes he made in leaving the NDA in the past and pledged that he will avoid any more political breakups in the future. Kumar’s statement came as part of a broader attempt to stabilize Bihar’s political scene after his fluctuating alliances with both the BJP-led NDA and opposition parties.

In the past decade, Nitish Kumar’s relationship with the NDA has been volatile. Initially a partner in the coalition, he made a dramatic exit in 2013, only to rejoin the NDA in 2017. His second departure in 2022 raised significant questions about his political strategies. Kumar, known for his pragmatism, expressed regret for these exits and emphasized that such moves were born out of complex political realities rather than personal ambition.

Acknowledging the political instability these exits caused, Kumar assured that moving forward, he will work to maintain a steady political direction. He promised that the current Mahagathbandhan alliance, which brings together opposition parties, will last, focusing on issues like unemployment, education, and infrastructure in Bihar. His message of political stability is intended to reassure voters that his future decisions will prioritize the state’s development.
