Mumbai Indians Seal WPL 2025 Title with Narrow 8-Run Win Over Delhi Capitals

Mumbai Indians won their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title after defeating Delhi Capitals by 8 runs in a thrilling final on Saturday.

Mumbai, batting first, managed 149/7. Harmanpreet Kaur’s commanding 66 off 44 balls was the top score, while Nat Sciver-Brunt contributed a handy 30.

Delhi Capitals came up short in their chase, finishing at 141/9 in 20 overs. Sciver-Brunt was the star for Mumbai with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 30 runs, and Amelia Kerr helped with two wickets.

For Delhi, Marizanne Kapp top-scored with 40 runs, and Jemimah Rodrigues contributed 30, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.
